Robotics competition infrastructure
Tracks, timing
and resultsthat hold up on race day.
RoboSquad builds modular competition tracks and runs the software behind them — registration, heats, automatic timing and live standings. One supplier from the floor plan to the final scoreboard.

Solutions
Four things an organiser
stops worrying about
Take the whole set or just the part you’re missing. Everything works on its own.
Competition tracks
Modular, transportable and built to take a full day of contact. We design the layout around your floor plan, deliver it and set it up on site.
- Sections pack flat and travel in a van
- Layout adapts to the hall you actually have
- Repairable on the spot between heats
Registration and heats
Teams sign up themselves and fix their own typos, so you’re not retyping names the night before. Start orders and groups generate in one click.
- Self-service entry, editable by the team
- Automatic groups and start order
- Double-elimination brackets for head-to-head formats
- Organiser dashboard with live status
Timing and scoring
Sensors time Dragrace and Line Follower to the hundredth. Judges score Folkrace, Freestyle and Sumo bouts from a tablet, and the numbers land in the same system.
- Autonomous sensor timing, no stopwatch
- Tablet judging with a shared rubric
- Every run logged and reviewable
Live results
Standings update on the big screen the moment a run ends — so the hall follows the competition instead of waiting for an announcement.
- Screen output for the venue
- Public results page for spectators
- Final standings exported after the event
Disciplines
Built for five formats
Each one needs different hardware and a different way of deciding who won. We cover both sides.
Folkrace Contact
Walled circuit, several robots on track at once, collisions expected. Modular wall sections let us rebuild the layout for the space you have.
- Track
- Modular walled circuit
- Result
- Tablet judging
Dragrace Speed
Straight-line sprint, two lanes, decided by hundredths. Start and finish sensors run the timing, so nobody has to argue about a thumb on a stopwatch.
- Track
- Two-lane straight
- Result
- Sensor timing
Line Follower Precision
High-contrast line on a matte surface, with the curve profile tuned to the level of the field. Automatic timing from first crossing to last.
- Track
- Printed line course
- Result
- Sensor timing
Freestyle Open
No track, no clock — a stage, a jury and a scoring rubric. Judges enter scores on a tablet and the standings appear with everything else.
- Track
- Presentation area
- Result
- Jury rubric
Sumo Head-to-head
Two robots, one ring, one of them pushed out. Bouts run as a double-elimination bracket, so a single loss drops a team into the losers bracket instead of out of the competition. The platform draws both sides of the bracket, seeds the first round and advances winners as results come in.
- Track
- Round dohyo ring
- Result
- Double-elimination bracket
How it works
From first call
to final standings
A typical event runs on this timeline. We’ll tell you at step one which parts you actually need.
Scope the event
Disciplines, expected number of teams, venue dimensions, date. We come back with what fits and what it costs.
Design the track
We draw the layout against your floor plan and confirm access, power and the space you need for pits and spectators.
Open registration
Your entry page goes live. Teams register and manage their own details; you watch the numbers fill up on the dashboard.
Build and race day
We deliver, set up and run the timing. Groups and start orders generate on the day, results go to the screen as runs finish.
Results and handover
Final standings exported for your announcements and press. Track packs down the same evening.

Questions
Before you write to us
How much space does a track need?
It depends on the discipline and the number of teams. Send us the hall dimensions and we’ll draw a layout that fits — the sections are modular, so the circuit is built around your floor plan rather than the other way round.
How far ahead should we book?
The earlier the better for spring and autumn, when most competitions happen. Get in touch as soon as you have a date, even if the rest is still open.
Do you travel outside Estonia?
Yes. The tracks pack flat and travel by road; we quote transport separately based on distance.
Can we use the software without renting a track?
Yes — the platform is licensed on its own. You get registration, start orders, judging and results display for your own equipment.
What do you need from us on the day?
Access to the hall for setup, power at the track, and a screen or projector for the results. We’ll confirm the details when the layout is agreed.
